25 February 2008 is the date for the trial of
Najwa Petersen and three co-accused in the Cape High Court. She is accused of murdering her husband Taliep Petersen,
On Wednesday, Shireen Riley, the Prosecutor announced the date in Cape Town's Wynberg regional court, saying the trial was set to run to March 20 2008.
A new bail application by Petersen was supposed to happen on Wednesday in the regional court. The application was postponed to Thursday as the Magistrate who was supposed to hear the application took ill.
Petersen's first bail application was dismissed, aswel as an appeal to the Cape High Court.All four are to be charged with murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition
Petersen, Abdoer Mjedi, Walleed Hassen and Jefferson Snyders are alleged to have shot Taliep, in the Petersens' Cape Town home in December last year
