Rape Crisis Cape Town Trust has revealed that tik has worsened the behaviour of rapists and has raised the number of rape cases in the past three years in the province.
Kathleen Dey from Rape Crisis Cape Town Trust said that tik is one of the widely used drugs in the province.
It is reported that the age of rapists as a result of tik is dropping and children as young as eleven years old use tik.
“But also the brutality of the rape is increasing and generally tik is involved in those kinds of cases”
Dey says that it just seems it makes them lose control of their behaviour, if people loose their behaviour they do not hold back as they might if they were not under the influence of tik
