Naledi Pandor has been appointed the new Minister of Home Affairs.

This follows yesterday’s announcement that she would be acting in Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma’s former post.

Today’s announcement by the Presidency also confirms that Derek Hanekom, Pandor’s former deputy, will replace her as Science and Technology Minister.

Dlamini Zuma has been elected head of the African Union Commission in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
