The South African Transport and Allied Workers’ Union strike has resulted in some delivery delays, at several supermarkets.

Last week, thousands of truck drivers embarked on mass action to demand a 12 percent salary increase per year.

According to statements made by retail stores, some problems had been reported, but plans were in place should the strike continue.

Meanwhile, Satawu leaders have called on workers to intensify their strike today in a bid to force employers to give in to the demands of workers.
