An accident this morning on the N7 in Cape Town left one person dead and 13 injured.

It is believed that a fully laden taxi rolled off the N7 and into a ditch at the side of the road.

Now police are still investigating the actual cause of the accident.

ER24’s Vanessa Jackson said when paramedics arrived at the scene, rescuers had stabilised the vehicle before paramedics could assist the injured.

“Sadly one passenger was declared dead on the scene inside the vehicle, and there was another 13 patients suffered moderate to minor injuries.

“One patient had to be cut out using the jaws-of-life, but all services working together managed to treat and transport all 13 patients to hospitals in the area for further care” Jackson added.
