The Social Justice Coalition has submitted a final letter of demand to the City of Cape Town before legal action will be taken.

The SJC last month delivered a letter to the Mayor’s office demanding amongst other things that the City produce within two weeks, an urgent timeline for the development of a policy and plan for the janitorial service for flush toilets in informal settlements.

SJC’s Phumeza Mlungwana said they want access to what they claim as the operation policy.

Mlungwana added that if it’s the policy it should be on the municipal website.
