The State Security Ministry has rejected a media report that says Minister Siyabonga Cwele classified the Inkandla Task Team report.

The report in question emanates from the work done by a JCPS Task Team appointed by the Minister of Public Works to probe various irregularities associated with the upgrading.

Ministry Spokesperson Brian Dube said that the minister indicates that it is not correct as the minister did not classify the report and that the people who had offered the report are the ones that have the power to classify the report.

“In this instance we know that there is a task team appointed by the minister of public works to probe the issue and they have done their work and have produced the report,” added Dube.

He also added that therefore they are the ones who have the authority to classify the report in terms of framework and policy and not the minister.
