“In hospital despite extensive efforts by doctors he was declared deceased.” Said Lambinon.
A 66-year-old man died after he
collapsed while kite-surfing with his son at Eastern Beach in Port
Alfred on Tuesday.
National Sea Rescue Institute Spokesperson
Craig Lambinon said the man collapsed from an unknown medical cause.
Lambinon added on arrival at the
scene they found bystanders conducting CPR on the man. CPR was continued on the
scene and while he was transported to hospital via ambulance.
“In hospital despite extensive efforts by doctors he was declared deceased.” Said Lambinon.
