A 28-year-old man appeared in court on Monday for hijacking and being in possession of a stolen vehicle in Wolmaransstad.

Makau said it is alleged that the accused was arrested after he was driving
reckless and collided with two other vehicles.
Makau said it is further alleged
that his passenger fled the scene after the incident and a community member
managed to apprehend the driver before he could flee the scene as well.
“When police arrived on the scene
they discovered that the vehicle the suspect was driving a hijacked car” Makau
added.
