Bobby Soobrayan redeployment welcomed

The South African Democratic Teachers Union has welcomed the redeployment of Director General Bobby Soobrayan to another area of government. 

Sadtu Deputy General Secretary Nkosana Dolopi said this decision by the Department of Basic Education will go a long way to stabilize education and create the needed labour peace in the sector. 

Dolopi said he was a stumbling block in the education sector now that he is gone things will be better.

The department has appointed Panyaza Lesufi as the Acting Director General.
