DA: Arms Deal committee fails to table its 2013 annual report in Parliament

The Democratic
Alliance today said the Arms Deal committee has failed to table its 2013 annual
report in Parliament which was meant to be tabled at the end of March.
DA MP of Defence
and Military Veterans David Maynier said the report would have contained
detailed information about the type description and quantity of the arms
sale.
“I will therefore, be writing to chairperson of the National Convention Arms Control committee Jeff Radebe to ask why the report was not tabled in Parliament and when will it be submitted and tabled in Parliament,” Maynier
He concluded by
saying that If the Annual report is not tabled in Parliament then it will not
be possible for Parliament to hold the National Conventional Arms Control
accountable for the decision it is made in the state of exporting conventional
arms from South Africa.
