Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said when we arrived there we found that one man had tragically died, due to the severe injuries he has sustained.
An accident late last night left four people dead
and four others injured.
This is after a bakkie collided with a truck on the
R30 in the Free State
late last night.
ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said ER24
paramedics along with provincial services arrived on the scene and found the
two wrecked vehicles off in the veld.
Meiring said both vehicles ha sustained a large
amount of damage in the collision.
Meiring added that on assessment four lifeless
males were found lying a few meters away from the overturned bakkie.
Unfortunately all four patients succumbed to their multiple fatal injuries when
they were flung from the vehicle.
Meiring said four other patients were found on
scene with their injuries ranging from critical to moderate. One of the
critically injured patient’s laid trap beneath the bakkie.
Meiring also said Rescue Services had to use their
specialised rescue equipment to free the patient from beneath the vehicle.
“The four patients were treated by advance life
support paramedics.” Meiring concluded.
Meanwhile in another accident on the N3 west bound before the Richmond off ramp in
Pinetown left one person dead and seven injured.
It is believed that a vehicle travelling east veered across the centre
median and collided head-on with oncoming traffic.
Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said when we arrived there we found that one man had tragically died, due to the severe injuries he has sustained.
Botha said there were six other patients that sustained injuries,
ranging from critical to minor.
“They were all treated on scene and transported to various hospitals for
further care.” Botha added.
The exact details to the cause of the accidents
