An accident in the early hours of this morning on the N4 outside Nelspruit left one person dead and another injured.
It is believed that the utility vehicle the two
were travelling in crashed against the stone wall on the mountainous pass.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said upon
assessment of the occupants, paramedics found that the twenty-five-year-old
driver sustained serious injuries during the crash, while the male passenger
tragically lost his life during the crash.
Steinmann said the injured man was treated at the
scene and transported to hospital for further medical care. The deceased
passenger was entrapped in the wreckage and the fire department had to make use
of the Jaws of Life to extricate him from the wreckage.
The exact details to the cause of the accident will
remain the subject of a police investigation.
