#On Wednesday the 12th of September Dr Francis Thackeray, the director of the Transvaal Museum, will introduce Mrs Ples, Mrs Ples is the nickname of a fossil skull that represents a distant relative of humankind, from the Sterkfontein Caves in the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site. # On Saturday the 8th of September there will be a guided tour at Peers Cave. Peers Cave is a manageable walk and offers a view of stone age history and spectacular views across the valley. The tour will be about Victor Peers and his son Bertie who in 1926/7 discovered many stone stone tools and remains of nine people from the stone age. There is no charge to attend this excursion but bookings is essential due to limited space. Please call the MTN Sciencentre on 021 592 8100 to secure your place
