The Junior City Council met today for the first time with the full council. Junior Speaker Vuyo Xulu from Milnerton High School, chaired the meeting. The council launched the projects that will be organised.

Some of the projects were sports days and music days to be held in different communities. The projects have to influence the community in a positive way.

Tessa Williams is the co-ordinator of Junior City Council and assists the learners during their meetings and projects: "About two hundred learners gathered today for the meeting. Now the projects are launched, they can start organising it."

The Junior City Council is a council of high school learners who learn debating, organising, political skills and run projects to help young people of the community.
