Suspects arrested for murder incidents in Gugulethu

Police have arrested suspects in two murder incidents that occurred in Gugulethu on Sunday and Monday night respectively.
According to police spokesperson Elliot Sinyangana in the first incidents the Gugulethu SAPS had attended to a murder scene on Sunday where the victim and his friends had been whereby the victim had later died in hospital.
“Two suspects were arrested last night and due to appear in the Athlone Magistrate court on Thursday, 15th May 2008 on charge of murder,” says Sinyangana
In second incidents explains Sinyangana which took place in Gugulethu as well last night a small group of men had gained access to a roof and attacked the homeowners.
“Once inside they started attacking the owners and in the process one of the owners managed to grab suspects arm and took the knife, and then used it to defend themselves.”
He further elaborated that a suspect had been fatally wounded with his own knife while another had escaped.
“A 33 year old man was arrested and is due to appear in the Athlone Magistrate’s court,” he said.
