Andiswa Mkosi
29 March 2012
Today Cosatu wil meet with Metrorail in an attempt to find a solution to what they regard as very high train fare increases.
The Passenger Rail Agency intends hiking fares by as much as 27-percent on Sunday.
Tony Ehrenreich of Cosatu has warned that they will go ahead with a strike should Metrorail follow through with its plans.
Meanwhile the Western Cape MEC for Transport and Public Works Robin Carlisle says the fare hike is not justified.
