A woman died after a fire in Retreat in Cape Town
The 40-year-old woman was killed after a backyard dwelling burnt down.
The cause of the fire remains unknown at this stage.
Disaster Management’s Wilfred Solomons-Johannes said that the woman was alone at home when the fire occurred.
Solomons-Johannes said that the Canine Unit and the fire investigation team will investigate the incident to establish the cause of death.
