Western Cape business sector welcomes Metrorail`s compromised hike fare

The Western Cape business sector has welcomed Metrorail’s revised pricing structure on the proposed train fare increase. 

The commuter rail service announced earlier today that it would be implementing a 13 percent fare hike.

Metrorail had initially proposed to hike the fares by 27-percent.

The Cape Chamber of Commerce’s, Gordon Metter who took part in the discussions with Metrorail and Cosatuon Thursday said that this new pricing compromise will benefit everyone in the province.
