The traffic department in Cape Town confirmed that they will be doing regular roadworthy checks ahead of the Easter weekend.
This Friday the City launched operation Exodus.
The operation will run until the 9th of April.
The departments Merle Lourens said that the department will be conducting free roadworthy checks from Monday to Thursday this coming week.
She added that the motor vehicle testing centres that will be open for the checks will be Joe Gqabi, Brackenfell, Durbanville, Bellrail, Goodwood, Kuils River, Gallows Hill and Hillstar.
Tests will be conducted at these centres from 9am until 4pm.
