Commission enquiry into Marikana tragedy postponed

Lusanda Bill
04 October 2012

The Marikana commission has postponed its activities until the 22nd of this month.

Advocates Dumisa Ntsebeza and Dali Mpofu have repeatedly objected to certain issues.

The one objective Ntsebeza and Mpofu have is that the families of the 34 miners who were killed were not represented at the sittings of the commission in Rustenburg.

Commission chairperson Ian Farlam says the Department of Social Development is arranging to bring the families from the Eastern Cape and Lesotho.
