The Democratic Alliance has called on the Public Protector to investigate the R2.4 million National Youth Development Agency Conference.

DA said the NYDA makes little or no useful contribution to South Africa and it needs to be disbanded.

DA Youth Leader Makashule Gana said they are calling for the NYDA to be disbanded and for the money to be used for worthy projects.

Gana added that this come in the light that the NYDA has spent R 2.4 million of the money that was supposed to be spent on young people funding a new project.

Furthermore Gana highlighted that they hope the government takes heed to the call.
