The Independent Police Investigative
Directorate arrested a 41-year-old warrant officer from Mbekweni in Paarl.
He was arrested for raping a 14-year-old
girl on numerous occasions since April.
IPID Spokesperson Moses Dlamini said
the officer raped the victim in his house, car and on an open field.
Dlamini added that the victim’s
mother found a message from the officer when she tried to use her daughter’s
phone, and reported the matter to the police.
“The suspect will appear at the Paarl
Magistrate Court
