LieutenantColonel Lesego Metsi said that
the truck driver transported the girl to hospital and on their way to the
hospital, they met an ambulance that was called to collect the deceased and
they allegedly handed her over to the medical officers.
Metsi said according the report;
truck driver had not noticed the child, when he was reversing.
“She was removed from under the truck
by the driver and one of the community members and taken to hospital where she
was declared dead on arrival” Metsi added.
Police are investigating a case
of culpable homicide.
