The Western Cape Department of Health on
Friday has stated that an invitation made to the Treatment Action Campaign was
ignored.
This is after the TAC raised concern in a
memorandum that the department had ignored its requests to have a meeting with
the department.
MEC Thenus Botha said Mandla Mojola ignored
an invitation to discuss issues of health in the province.
MEC Botha said government regards the TAC as a valuable partner in the quest to achieve the health objectives.
Ministerial Spokesperson Helene Rossouw
said during MEC Botha`s time he has invited the TAC to discus these issues but
they have not honoured that.
