An accident this morning on Goede Hoop Avenue in Irene left one
person dead and three people injured.

Steinmann said upon their arrival on scene they found that a man was in a
critical condition after he was knocked over by a motor vehicle.
“The man’s condition deteriorated on
scene and after every attempts of resuscitation unfortunately paramedics could
not do anything further for the man and he was declared dead on scene.”
Steinmann added.
The exact details of the cause of the
accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
