The Democratic Alliance said the slow internet rate in the country is crippling economic growth and job creation.

This as the report of the 2014 World Economic Forum’s Global Information Technology was released.

The report showed that there has been a decline in South Africa’s IT infrastructure and the costs of internet connectivity.

DA MP of Trade and Industry Wilmot James said we have seen a decline in business and that decline is very bad for business and bad for growth and empowering citizens.
