Mozambican national found dead in police custody

Daveyton police are investigating the death of a Mozambican national who died in police custody.

His body was discovered when police visited the cells.

Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said he mysteriously died. According to an inmate he hit his against the wall and then went to sleep.

The cause of his death is still unknown and police do not suspect any foul play.
