ER24 paramedics are currently
on scene and further resources have been dispatched to a collision on the R28
towards Vereeniging.
It is understood that there
are multiple people dead and a number of others critically injured.
The ER24 medical helicopter
has also been activated.
“ER24 paramedics are attending to patients
on scene. It is understood that at least 19 people have died.”
Bodasing said.
It has been reported that a
truck and taxi is involved and that the taxi caught alight.
Patients were also ejected
from the vehicles there are some Patients that are injured, some critically and
are being treated.
