Human Settlements exceeds housing target.

Housing delivery targets were exceeded for the 2014/2015 financial year according to the human settlements annual report tabled in the Western Cape provincial Legislature on the 10th of November.

In an addition, the department obtained a clean audit and utilized its entire Human Settlements Development Grant directly on delivery housing opportunities.

The Grant forms the bulk of the Departments total infrastructure budget of 2 billion rand.

The Western Cape’s Department of Human Settlements Nathan added that “We have delivered 10 746 housing units against the target of 10 357 and those are all new units.”
