A Transcash vehicle travelling in School Street at Blackheath Industria was ramped off the road by two vehicles early Monday morning.

When the cash vehicle was brought to halt after a white Mercedes Benz and a Ford Courtier was deliberately colliding against the vehicle the suspects pointed firearms demanding the truck keys.

“The driver handed over the keys and was instructed to lie on the ground,” says police spokesperson Captain Elliot Siyangana.

He added that the suspects immediately took two cash boxes containing an undisclosed amount of money.

“They fled the scene in a white Audi and Jetta, no gun shots were fired and there have been no arrest as yet,” says Siyangana.

The investigation continues.
