A shooting incident occurred in Retreat Road, opposite the Retreat Hotel in the early hours of Monday morning.
Two men moving towards their vehicle were shot at by two suspects attempting to steal their car.
“The 23-year-old man sustained a bullet wound to his face and the 27-year-old man sustained bullet wounds to his left leg. He is currently in a stable condition in a nearby hospital,” says police spokesperson Constable Siphokazi Mawasi.
Police arrested the two male suspects on Monday for attempted murder and murder.
A firearm was confiscated and upon investigation it was discovered the firearm was not stolen. The suspects, who are 23 and 19-years-old, will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
