The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa has congratulated Dr. Manto Tshabalala- Msimang on her appointment as a mentor and goodwill ambassador for women and child health of Africa as was recommended by the AU Chairperson during the Conference on maternal, neonatal and child mortality review.
Asanda Fongqo from Denosa said this appointment underlines the confidence the African Continent has in South Africa
“We further have massive confidence in Tshabalala-Msimang” to ensure that this programme that is meant to empower rural communities will achieve its objectives.
The problems surrounding the issues of maternal and child health are well known in Africa.
