More than 15 robbers held up a Checkers store at the Greenstone Crescent Shopping Centre, on the East Rand yesterday.
A security guard was injured in the robbery and is recovering in hospital.
The robbers took an undisclosed amount of cash from the store’s tills; they also fled with two hijacked cars.
The men have apparently made their way to Alexander.
Police are now on a hunt for more than 15 robbers, the police are asking anyone with information to send their tip-offs to Crimeline on 32211.
