The Hawks today are questioning a suspect in the Shongweni massacre.
The police say they believe that the 22-year-old was involved in the multiple shooting in which six people lost their lives, five of them from one family.
The man handed himself over to the authorities in Pietermaritzburg yesterday.
The police’s Jay Naicker said “He just became aware that police were looking for him and handed himself over”.
Another suspect in the incident was shot dead by police on Sunday.
The search is still on for several more people.
