The Western Cape Minister of Education Donald Grant has condemned the violence in the Grabouw demonstration organized by the Elgin Grabouw Civic Organisation.
Members of this organisation continue to disrupt schools, businesses and the general community claiming that they are protecting the rights of learners at the Umyez Wama Apile School
Grabouw has now calmed down after todays protest turned violent.
The trouble started when the crowd moved towards the N2 highway and said they intended to march to the Cape Town
