Police confirmed today that a service delivery protest which turned violent yesterday has died down this morning.
Deputy Chief of the Cape Town Metro Police Yolanda Faro said at the moment there are no protests and they are monitoring the situation.
Late yesterday evening protesters stoned cars, burned tyres and blocked a section of the N2.
The protest which took place on the highway near the Cape Town International airport on the N2 saw between 100 and 150 people participate.
Faro said that two men were injured in the incident.
