N2 near the Cape Town International Airport had to be temporarily closed on Thursday evening.

This was a result of a service delivery protest that turned violent.

The protestors burned tyres on the highway and stoned cars.

Cape Town metro police said that two men were injured in an accident as vehicles tried to avoid the demonstrators.
