The Marikana Commission is today inspecting the Lonmin platinum mineworkers' hostels and informal housing at the mine in North West.
Officials also went to the hospital where wounded workers are still being treated.
Yesterday, the commissioners visited the area near the Nkaneng informal settlement where 34 people were killed in police action on the 16th of August.
Eleven more people died in separate incidents during the illegal strike at the mine. Formal hearings will start at the Rustenburg Civic Centre tomorrow.
