Officials from the Transport and Freight Bargaining Council in Braamfontein have accepted a memorandum from striking transport workers

About a thousand protestors marched in Johannesburg today to support their demand for a 12-percent wage hike over the next three years.

Several trucks have been set alight today on the East Rand and in Cape Town.

The strikers torched trucks trying to force their working colleagues to join the industrial action.
