The Western Cape Police say they will continue to monitoring areas which had been affected by farm workers strike.

The protest started in De Doorns over a week ago but spread to other areas.

The workers are demanding an increase of R150 a day from R75 a day.

The ADHOC group said the volatile events of the past few days in the province are the consequences of a national government who have failed to provide statesmanship and responsibility.

The Group`s Jaco Schoeman said had the national government explored and implemented all the possibilities with regards to land, rural development and even job creation, in partnership with all South Africans thesituation would have been different.

Schoeman added that government should implement an approach that does not discriminate.
