Police investigate a double murder

Lethabong Police are investigating a double murder, this is after a 44-year-old woman and her 28-year-old daughter was murdered at their home. 

The suspect is believed to be the daughter’s boyfriend. 

Police said the girlfriend had a protection order issued against him. 

Two cases of murder, possession of unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunitions were registered against the suspect at Lethabong Police Station.

Captain Amanda Funani said the mother was shot when she tried to intervene in fight between her daughter and the boyfriend.

Funani added that police are following a very good lead in their investigation.
