Fire breaks out at Cavendish Square in Diesel store

The City of Cape Town’s Fire and Rescue Services this morning responded to a fire at Cavendish Square.

It is believed that a shop caught alight however the cause of the fire is still unknown at this stage and police are investigating.

City’s Fire and Rescue Services Spokesperson Liezel Moody said no injuries were reported. 

Moody said on arrival they found that it was the Diesel clothing store that was burning.The fire was extinguished by the sprinklers in the shop.

“The Fire department remained on scene to investigate the possible cause of the fire Moody added.
