Twelve people injured in Phoenix accident

An accident involving a light delivery vehicle on Hunslet Drive in Phoenix Industrial Park left twelve people injured, one critically injured late last night. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said upon the arrival on scene they found that twelve people were injured after they feel out of the back of the bakkie.

The injuries range from moderate to critical and all the patients were treated on scene before they were transported to hospital for further medical care.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
