The 24-year-old man who was arrested for the murder of Magdalene Freeman on Saturday is to appear in the Blue Downs Magistrate’s court today.
The man was arrested at his house regarding the body of Freeman that was discovered early Saturday morning by a passer by.
“A male on his way home discovered the partially clothed body of a woman on an open field on the corners of Mimosa and Apollo Street.
The deceased had an open wound to her head, possibly inflicted by a piece of wood,” says police spokesperson Inspector Bernadine Steyn.
She added that police are investigating the possibility that 27-year-old Freeman may have been raped.
