The body that was found near Wolfgat Nature Reserve on Monday has been identified.
Ashley Haas a 27-year-old and his 25-year-old friend Brent Florence were swept out to sea by a strong current last week.
Her body was found on Saturday in shallow waters near the beach.
Sea rescue authorities confirmed today that the body was indeed that of Ashley Haas.
The National Sea Rescue Institute’s Craig Lambinon said “This brings the matter to some closure and we have safely handed this over to the families themselves”.
