Council officials have confirmed that they will introduce new parking devices that will benefit local motorists in the city.
In the next few weeks, the city kerbside operator plans to install one-thousand permanent parking sensor devices in Cape Town.
These new devices will replace the portable rubber mats which were placed in the middle of parking bays between 8am and 5pm.
The City’s head of transport management, Dave Lowry said the operator will be able to manage his parking marshal staff better in terms of deployment.
He added that this will increase in the services provided by the operator.
