The Democratic Alliance has asked the Auditor General to investigate premier Ace Magashule’s abuse of R 140 million for a Free State government website.

The DA leader in the Free State Patricia Kopane says this follows an article in a local newspaper that states that Premier Magshushle awarded a contract to a businessman Tumi Ntsele to build the most expensive website in the history of South Africa.

Patricia Kopane said that the channeling of millions of public funds into a propaganda project is bigger than the building of a website.

“The premier is running a campaign to buy media influence in reaching his comrade in business at the same time" Kopane said.

Kopane added that the DA managed to show how Premier Magashule spent about R12 million on his television channel in the last financial year; the same contract for Hlasela tv was awarded to the same person, which was Ntsele.
