MEC Carlisle attended sod-turning ceremony in Khayelitsha

The Western Cape MEC of Transport and Public Works Robin Carlisle attended the sod-turning ceremony in Khayelitsha, provincial governments first shared services centre. 

 Carlisle said the centre which costs R85.6 million is set to open in May 2014 and will bring provincial government services closer to residents. 

Ministerial Spokesperson Sipheshile Dube said the department has received additional funding to around R 2 billion for different projects ranging from education facilities, delivery health facilities, delivery building and maintenance as well as projects funding those buildings.

Dube also adds that it is to highlight the confidence that they have as a department have to deliver on these essential services.
