The City of Cape Town intensifies Operation Reclaim

The City of Cape Town today said it will intensify its Operation Reclaim. 

More traffic officers will be employed in order to clamp down on people who get away without paying traffic fines. 

Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security JP Smith said Operation Reclaim, will focus mainly on those people who have outstanding warrants of arrests for outstanding fines. 

Smith said over the past ten years, there have been a lot of people who got away without paying their traffic fines.

He added that the City is pushing to clamp down on these acts of people avoiding to pay their fines.
