The City of Cape
Town today said it will intensify its Operation
Reclaim.
More traffic officers will be
employed in order to clamp down on people who get away without paying traffic
fines.
Mayoral Committee Member for Safety
and Security JP Smith said Operation Reclaim, will focus mainly on those people
who have outstanding warrants of arrests for outstanding fines.
Smith said over the past ten years,
there have been a lot of people who got away without paying their traffic
fines.
He added that the City is pushing to
clamp down on these acts of people avoiding to pay their fines.
